Last April Xiaomi introduced a Redmi Band that has a USB-A port for direct charging and shares many of its features with the Mi Band 4. Now, the experts have decided not to remain in China but to expand it’s selling in other overseas markets such as Taiwan, where it will be sold as Xiaomi Mi Band 4C.
Besides being cheaper, The Xiaomi Mi Band 4C has some more advantages compared to Mi Band 4. It has a bigger OLED screen and does not need extra cables or chargers as they replaced it with an integrated USB-A port now.
However, the battery will serve 14 days, which was promised 20 for the regular 4. Still, it does not make much difference as 14 days also is also a decent endurance period for a single charge. Xiaomi Mi Band 4C still lacks NFC, just like the Mi Smart Band 4 – that’s the international version of the regular wearable.
Mi Band 4C is being sold for TWD495 by Xiaomi Taiwan – which is $17/€15. On the other hand, Mi Band 4 currently selling at a discounted price of TWD845 which was TWD795 before – apparently 33% more expensive. Orange, Black, Blue, or Olive Green, these are the four colors the band comes in and is already on sale in Hong Kong too.
They kept the straps interchangeable an extra pair will cost an additional TWD75, taking the total price of a band with an extra strap to TWD545, whereas the jumbo deal will get you all three other colors and set the price for within TWD645, which is still just $22/€20.
